www.brainpop.com and www.brainpopjr.com These two sites have great videos with a short quiz on all sorts of topics! Some of the videos are free but most require an account. The good new is many schools in our county have an account. Go ask your computer lab teacher or special ed. department head to see. I am not sure of the cost but this might be a good use for a few dollars of the ole classroom budget. (stop groaning I know some of you have one)

www.do2learn.com -most of the stuff on this site is for sale, however under the activities tab there are some free lesson plan ideas and printables. I saved all the emotion ones to my computer. Thought they looked good.
www.sophia.org - Great site for supplementing lessons. Just use your class projector to see powerpoints and videos on all sorts of middle and high school concepts. The lessons are broken down by subject and topic. (ie. Geometry-finding area of irregular shapes)
www.kidsknowit.com - this website has games for kids and great resources to be used for teaching. There are online textbooks available on the different topic pages. These could be used to teach with your projector. There are also free educational videos. Topics include animals, dinosaurs, human biology, geology, geography and more!
www.congressforkids.net -has activities, lessons and games to help kids of all ages learn about the US Government. I found some great links to web activities, quizzes and flashcards.
